Ekiti Assembly Suspends Lawmaker For 180 Days Over Anti-Party Activities

The former chairman of Ekiti Stat house of Assembly Committee on Information, Gboyega Aribisogan, has been suspended by the House for 180 legislative days.

Aribisogan was accused by his party , the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)) of anti-party activities.
Mr Aribisogan was alleged to have been meeting with opposition party member in the state.

The lawmaker representing Ikole Constituency 1 was removed from his position as Chairman of the House Committee on Information and replaced with the member representing Oye Constituency 1, Samuel Omotoso.

Speaker of the House, Rt Hon, Kola Oluwawole, affirmed the suspension of Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan.
He has been warned not to come close to the state assembly complex within the period of his suspension
However, the embattled lawmaker denied the allegation against him. He said that he would seek redress on the matter.
