e.Stream Unveils 5 Year Expansion Plan For Business Growth

e.Stream Networks Limited, www.estreamnetworks.net one of the country’s indigenous licensed broadband communications providers, has indicated strategies to outshine its competitors by providing quality service to its numerous existing and prospective customers in the ICT industry.

The development came on the heels of the company’s celebration of its tenth year in operation in the country’s viable money-spinning industry.

To achieve this, the company has unveiled a five-year expansion plan in November 2015, which will run through 2016 till 2020.

Unveiling the strategy during a media interaction at e. Stream’s Lagos office in Victoria Island, Mr. Muyiwa Razaq Ogungboye, Managing Director of the company, said e.Stream would execute its business plans by investing both by collocation and by individual strength.

He said, “In our plan, we are going to take up Lagos projects for the year 2016, and by 2017, we would take up projects in Abuja and Port Harcourt, while others will come up in subsequent years within the five year period.

“Also, we want to set up more base stations and more cloud services with Microsoft and Del, among others.

For this expansion plan, we have a budget of $1.2 million dollars for executing the 2016 project alone.”

According to Ogungboye, as part of measures to enhance growth and establishment in its network coverage, as well as breaking new grounds, e.Stream had spent about N20 million to set up base stations in the country, while also improving on quality of service.

Speaking on internet broadband distribution, the e.Stream boss stressed the need for the Federal Government to encourage the innovation of LTE operation on mobile phones, aside from Wi-Fi.
The company is also embarking on coverage services for the year 2016 while value added services would be the company’s priority in 2017.

e.Stream is also projecting the inclusion of IPTV business in its operation.
In a bid to fulfill its developmental projects through partnership, e.Stream is collaborating with Bitflux, a partnership aimed at adding value and rendering quality services to existing and prospective clients in the sector.

In spite of the recession in the country and prevailing challenges, which include poor infrastructures, epileptic power supply, inability to access adequate funds to execute targeted projects, Ogungboye assured that his company would attain its desired height as a giant brand icon in its field of operation.

Looking ahead to 2020, with a passionate crave to achieving the 5G network connectivity, the e.Stream chief, who indicated the need for support from the government and the financial sector to attain the development, however called on the attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to put up modalities to make the 5G connectivity a reality.

He lamented that the development is not an easy across for just a single corporate entity to bear. However, in his brilliant observation, Ogungboye believes that chances are slim for indigenous companies to thrive in his sector, if adequate concentration and patronage are not accorded them by the Nigerian government.

He however urged the government to give more credence to indigenous players in the industry.
