Lagos state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has sacked the general manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency,(LASEMA) Michael Akindele.
Akindele sacked was announced in a statement issued by the head, public affairs unit of the agency, Adebayo Kehinde on Monday.
Akindele who was appointed in July 2015 took over from Femi Oke-Osanyintolu.
He was a former vice chairman of Ikeja local government area. Between 2004 and 2007, he served as special assistant on health to Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos.
Ambode has since appointed Tiamiyu Adesina as the new LASEMA chief.
Adesina started his career in Ibadan in 1982 as a civil servant and has held several positions before he retired in May 2016.
