A Senior Advocate of Nigeria ( SAN), Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, has emerged winner of the Ondo State Governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akeredolu polled a total of 699 votes in Saturday’s keenly contested exercise.
Olusegun Abraham, the preferred candidate of Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos, came next to Akeredolu with 635 votes, while Olusola Oke, also a lawyer, came third with 536 votes.
A total number of accredited voters for the election were 2, 774,
With the emergence of Akeredolu, it shows that the power wielded by the APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the South West is threatened.
