The acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris says the force will be seeking collaboration and cooperation of the Directorate of State Services in tackling in tackling the security challenges facing the country.
Speaking during a visit to the Director –General of the SSS, Mr. Lawal Daura said it is only through synergy with relevant security agencies that the country can overcome the current security and therefore it was necessary for the Nigeria Police to initiate the partnership as it vested with the duty of ensuring security of lives and property of citizenry.
Responding, the Director General, DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura assured the Ag. IGP maximum support of the Department of State Service to overcome the security challenges facing the country
He said cooperation is incumbent on the DSS, because they have historical link with the Nigeria Police, observing that the country is expecting more from the IGP, having seen his track record in policing that span within Nigeria and abroad.
