Football: Former Super Eagles Coach, Amodu Shuaibu is Dead

amodu-shaibu100128gettyAnother tragedy hit Nigerian football twith  the death of former Super Eagles coach and current NFF technical director, Amodu Shuaibu just three days after the death of his former assistant Stephen Keshi.

In a  statement released by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) this morning on Twitter, the Federation announced the death of the Shuaibu at the age of 58. the statement also disclosed that he passed on in his sleep after complaining of chest pains on friday night.
Amodu rose to limelight in 1990 after leading the then unheralded BCC lions of Gboko to an African Cup winners title, and he also became the first local coach to qualify the Super Eagles for the world cup in 2010.
