2baba Takes ‘Vote Not Fight’ Campaign To Edo State

tufaceNigeria’s  Music Superstar, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2baba has taken his ‘ Vote Not Fight campaign’  to Edo state  ahead of the forthcoming governorship elections in the state.
Before he began promoting the campaign, 2baba first paid a condolence visit to the crown prince of the Benin kingdom – Edaiken of Uselu Prince Eheneden Erediawa – over the death of his Father, Oba Erediawa. The crown prince gave 2baba a warm welcome and accepted his condolence. He also presented to music icon a male Benin bronze head.
After leaving the palace, 2baba paid courtesy visits to some of the state’s gubernatorial aspirants with the upcoming gubernatorial elections – set for November 2016 – in mind. He visited Mr Matthew Iduoriyekemwen – the PDP gubernatorial aspirant for the state – and presented him with a bottle of Campari before officially introducing him to the #VoteNotFight campaign. The aspirant expressed delight at the visit and assured 2Baba that he would do his part to ensure peaceful elections take place in Edo state.
The next visit was to the APC aspirant, Mr Godwin Obaseki. He was also presented with a bottle of Campari and enlightened about the #VoteNotFight campaign by 2baba. Mr Obaseki, like his PDP counterpart, assured 2Baba of his unflinching support for the campaign and assured him of his commitment towards ensuring peaceful elections in the state.
The “VOTE NOT FIGHT, Election No Be War” campaign is an initiative that seeks to promote peaceful participation in elections, one that recognizes that political participation, not violence, is the best way to advocate for change.
2Baba recently announced that he will headline the Lagos leg of “Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless: The Disruption” this year. He also announced a competition that would see him take some fans on a week long trip to Nairobi, Kenya. His latest single titled ‘Oya Come Make We Go’ features fellow Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless headliners, Sauti Sol, and has been getting rave reviews from fans and music aficionados since its release.
