FirstBank of Nigeria Limited has announced its partnership with Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria(AES) to host a National Conference on the diversification of the economy with the theme: Nigeria: After Oil What Next?
In a statement signed by the bank Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications, Folake Ani-Mumuney said the conference which will hold at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs(NIIA), Lagos on May 11, 2016 is aimed at building a strong and sustainable Nigerian economy via dialogue.
The conference will bring together top and middle level government functionaries, captains of industry and representatives of labour unions, civil liberty organization, students unions, academia, the diplomatic community and relevant stakeholders to provide practical solutions to problems ravaging Nigeria through the diversification of the economy, it added.
According to the MD/CEO of First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Subsidiaries, Dr. Adesola Adeduntun, said the bank is focused on supporting initiatives that encourage rapid diversification of the economy from its current over-dependence on the oil and gas sector.
The acting Head, Agric Finance, Mr. Mohammed Kagu will lead FirstBank delegation to the conference.
