Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over an emergency Federal Executive Council(FEC) meeting on Friday at the Presidential villa.
President Muhammed Buhari was conspicuously absent at the meeting making people to wonder why called a meeting when you were not going to be in attendance.
The closed door meeting which started at 11am without official reason why the President was absent had in attendance the 36 ministers, Secretary to the government of the federation, Mr. David Babachir and the vice president Osinbajo as chair.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said that the emergency Federal executive Council meeting chiefly to avail the ministers the opportunity to study the details of the budget received from the National Assembly as it concerns the various ministries before the president assent his signature.
He said that the budget was still work in progress.
