Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwingie has joined Bristol City on loan for the remainder of the season, Stoke City’s official website confirmed on Friday.
Odemwingie, who moved to Stoke in January 2014 from Cardiff City as part of a player-exchange with Kenwyne Jones, has failed to score in eight appearances for the Potters this term.
“I’m looking forward to working with him” Robins head coach Lee Johnson told the club’s website.“I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring someone of Peter’s quality in; he’ll provide us with experience and hopefully goals in one form or another.
He enjoyed his most prolific spell in England at West Brom – where he netted 31 goals in 90 appearances.
Bristol City are currently 20th in the Championship table, two points above the relegation zone. “The club would like to take this opportunity to wish Peter every success in his time with the West Country club” Stoke wrote on their website.
