Unemployed Youth N5,000 Stipend  A Pipedream, Buhari Says I  Will Not  Pay Those Who Don’t Work

President-Muhammadu-Buhari-3The much talked about N5000 stipend promised unemployed Nigerians by the All Progressives Congress (APC)  has ended up a pipedream .

President  Mohammadu Buhari made a dramatic U-turn  at the weekend during  his visit to the Middle  East saying he prefers to  empower youths through agriculture and build infrastructure than dole out money.

“This largesse N5,000 for the unemployed, I have got a slightly different priority. I would rather do the infrastructure, the school and correct them and empower agriculture, mining so that every able bodied person can go and get work instead of giving 5,000, N5,000 to those who don’t work,” he said.

During the presidential campaign the N5000 welfare package for  unemployed youth was one the major promises of the APC
