President Buhari has offered to pay the medical bill of a young girl who was robbed on Friday night’s bomb attack in Nyanya and Kuje in Abuja the media office said.
President Buhari made the offer on Sunday during a visit to the survivors receiving treatemewnt at the Trauma Centre of the National Hospital.
The President directed the Chief Of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari to settle the medical bill amounting to N268, 790 for the young girl in the Pediatric Ward of the hospital.
The girl’s mother, Deborah Stephen, had broken into tears on seeing President Buhari.
She said that her daughter had been shot by armed robbers who raided their home and that the family could not afford the medical bills.
The President who was accompanied by his personal aides and Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun visited the intensive care unit, the pediatric unit and general wards of the National Hospital.
The Chief Medical Director of the National Hospital, Dr. Jafaru Momoh thanked president Buhari for his visit and it will help the patients recovery by giving them a greater psychological sense of being valued and loved by their country.
