The Nigeria Labour Congress President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba has denied the story attributed to the labour congress on the calling of the resignation of the senate President, Dr, Bukola Sraraki of his trial by the Conduct of Conduct Tribunal over false asset declaration.
According to the statement released in Abuja, Wabba noted that the NLC, believes in the rule of law.
“He said NLC believes in the rule of law and as a law abiding institution could not have asked for such without recourse to the law.”
“The NLC believes in the rule of law and we believe that whatever is right should be done. By our laws, the mere alleging that somebody has committed an offense, by our laws we don’t judge the person as guilty as pronounced by a court of law.”
“To me that would be following due process and the rule of law than to midway begin to make pronouncement and criminalize people. I think what is right should be done rightly,” Wabba said.
