Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has offered to God prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari for victory in the war against corruption in the country, saying that the war against the notorious vice is one in Nigeria that the President must win.
Pastor Kumuyi spoke after the Lagos City-Wide Crusade organised by the church in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), emphatic that he is praying for President Buhari to succeed in the war against corruption and other reforms he is undertaking in the country.
The cleric urged Nigerians to support Buhari rather than be complaining, adding that the President needed the wisdom of God to pull through in the fight against corruption.
Kumuyi said, “My prayer for the country is that the mighty change, supernatural change that God has done for individuals, He should do for our country. God works in various ways and as we see all the things happening, fighting against corruption and all that, we need the wisdom of God, power of God and the support of God.
“My prayer is that God will assist the government to actually pull through until we get to the end of the tunnel in Jesus’ name. A change is coming and the change has started already.
The Deeper Life church leader said the encouragement he wants to give everyone is that they should have hope and look unto God to turn things around, noting that it may not take place immediately.
“God is going to do wonders in our country and things will turn around for the better.
“In spite of the socio-economic uncertainties in the country, there is still hope for Nigerians,” the man of God assured.
