Nigeria’s Super Eagles suffered their worst drop in many years in the latest FIFA Rankings released Thursday when they slipped 14 places down from 43rd spot globally in June to the rank of 57th place now.
The 2013 African champions, Eagles also slipped three steps backwards from the 7th spot of last month to 10th place on the continent.
The crashing of Nigeria in the rankings of the world football governing body, FIFA, exemplifies the rot that has set into the standard of the beautiful game in the country.
