Operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)Tuesday in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, rearrested the immediate-past governor Sule Lamido, and his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, over alleged N1.3 billion fraud.
The trio were immediately whisked to Kano where they will appear in court Wednesday.
The former governor was spotted wearing a light blue kaftan while one of his sons was in trousers and Tee-shirt at the time of arrest.
In November 2013, Aminu and his brother, Mustapha, were arrested in Kano and flown to Abuja over the same allegation.
Whereas the former governor still enjoyed immunity at the time his sons were quizzed by the commission, he submitted himself to the EFCC last month after he left office.
They are accused of using their positions to siphon Jigawa State’s funds.
