BREAKING: Joshua Defeats Jermaine Franklin to Win first Fight Since 2020

The Nigerian-British boxer, Anthony Joshua on Saturday  beat US boxer, Jermaine Franklin to recliam his winning glory after two years of losing. 

Joshua was adjudged the winner at the O2 Arena in London after a grueling contest for 12 rounds.

The three judges scored Joshua 118-111, 117-111, 117-111 to win the bout.

Joshua had earlier suffered two consecutives  defeats  to Oleksandr Usyk, Ukrainian boxer 

Usyk defeated Joshua on September 25, 2021 and August 21, 2022

Joshua  last win was on December 13, 2020 against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev

As expected, the bout was characterized with the usual jabs and punches which eventually saw Joshua denied Franklin his 25th career win.

With this victory, Joshua has now extended his record to 25-3
