BREAKING: Senate Confirms Buhari’s Seven Ministerial Nominees, Adjourns For Sallah

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed all the seven persons nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari for ministerial positions.

The ministers-designate were confirmed after they were screened by the “committee of the whole” chaired by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

The ministers confirmed on Wednesday are Henry Ikoh (Abia), Umana Okon Umana (Akwa Ibom), Ekuma Joseph (Ebonyi), Goodluck Nana Obia (Imo).

Others are Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegoroye – Ondo State; and Odum Odi – Rivers State.

The newly confirmed ministers replaced those ministers who resigned to  pursue presidential ambition.

After the nominees’ confirmation,  the Senate adjourned plenary  for two weeks to enable members to enjoy the Eid-el-Kabir celebration
