The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 422 new cases of coronavirus and one death.
The public health agency announced this in its daily update on Tuesday.
According to the agency the new cases were recorded from 14 states and the federal capital territory( FCT)
The center said the Rivers States topped the list with 178, while followed by Kwara with 87.
Other states are FCT- 57, Borno-20, Kaduna-17, Plateau-14, Katsina-12, Delta-6, Edo-6, Jigawa-6, Anambra-5, Ekiti-5, Oyo-5, Ogun-3 and Nassarawa-1.
The NCDC said the report includes 20 cases reported from Bauchi state for 7th (12), 8th (1), 9th (2), and 10th (5) January 2022 cases reported from Delta state for 4th (2) and 7th (4) January 2022, 0 cases reported from Abia, Sokoto, and Zamfara, States
With this figure, the total cases in the country are now 249, 154 while 220, 195 recoveries recorded.
The fatality rate stands at 3, 086.
