Former acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC), Joy Nunieh said she didn’t spend any money belonging to Niger Delta people during her tenure.
Ms. Nuhieh said this when she appeared before the House of Reps Committee on NDDC on Friday.
The ex-acting managing director who joined via ZOOM told the lawmakers that the siege on her residence was an attempt to prevent her from testifying before the panel. She thanked Governor Nyesom Wike, rivers state governor for rescuing her.
Reacting to the fraud allegations on the commission, Nunieh said she did not touch funs meant for the niger delta people.
The panel is carrying out an investigation into the mismanagement of funds by the interim management to the tune of N40 billion.
