A federal high court sitting in Abuja has ordered the arrest of former Minister of Petroleum, Dan Etete over his involvement in the Malabu Oil scam.
Justice Abubakar Idris Kutigi gave the order on Thursday following an exparte application informed the court that the arrest of Mr. Etete is key to unearth the truth behind the Malabu oil scam.
The judge held that, “I have carefully gone through the application…The application has merit and is granted as prayed.”
Justice Kutigi, therefore, ordered that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to arrest the former Minister and produce him before the court.
