Ekiti LG Polls: APC Holds Councillorship Primary Elections Today

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State will today (Saturday) September 21 conduct primaries for the selection of its councillorship candidates in the coming local government elections in the state.

The councillorship candidates would contest in the election scheduled by the State’s Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) to hold on December 7, 2019.

Over 400 councillorship aspirants across the 177 wards purchased N30,000 APC expression of interest forms to contest in today’s primary.

The party through its guideline released said it would elect its candidates for the election through indirect primary, in which ward, local government and state executives would elect the councillorship candidates.

The chairmanship primary elections will hold next Saturday.
