Dokpesi Stages One-man Protest at NASS Against Alleged Anti-media Policies

Dr. Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, Chairman Emeritus, Africa Independent Television, AIT, and Raypower FM, Nigeria broadcast stations is staging a “one man protest in the National Assembly against what he described as plot by the Federal Government to gag the media and suppress free speech.

Dokpesi and his broadcast stations have been in a running battle with the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC, over some reports the Commission had considered unprofessional.

In separate letters to the broadcast stations and the chairman, the NBC accused them of airing offensive and unprofessional contents.

They accused the stations of inciting the public against the Independent National Electoral Commission, the ruling All Progressives Congress and the government.
