Police Arrest Jilted Lover for Killing 8 Members of Ex-girlfriend’s Family

The police in Ondo have arrested the man who allegedly killed eight members of his ex-girlfriend’s family, including five children, after setting their house ablaze at Igbodigo, in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect, Deji Adenuga, was reportedly arrested yesterday, a week after he allegedly committed the act and fled.

He allegedly committed the act after his estranged lover, Titi Sanumi, ended their relationship.

The suspect was reported to have set ablaze the one-room apartment on Adetuwo Street, while the family slept around 2 am.

Five members of the family died on the spot, while the remaining three died at a hospital they were taken to for treatment.

The suspect, an ex-convict, was arrested in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Police Public Relations Officer, Femi Joseph, has confirmed the arrest.
