Suspected armed robbers have killed a 300-level accounting student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Abiodun Babalola, in a cold blood.

The brutal murder of Abiodun occurred in the early hours of Sunday when his killers invaded an off-campus hostel, Adam and Eve Hostel, at Parakin area in Ile-Ife to rob.

The attackers stormed the hostel around 2am and during the dastardly operation moved from room to room, dispossessing the occupants of their belongings.

Late Abiodun was said to have drawn the wrath of the robbers when he refused to surrender his IPhone to them.

According to source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, “They were two in their room when the armed robbers entered their room. He (Abiodun) was cut with a matchet in the head for refusing to release his iPhone to them.”
