Unknown gunmen had in October 19 ambushed the convoy of the first class chief at Makyali village along Kaduna-Kachi road.

The operation led to the death of the traditional ruler’s police orderly by the gunmen who later abducted him and his wife to an unknown location.

The monarch’s wife later regained freedom two days after the incident but the traditional ruler was held hostage by his abductors who later demanded ransom for his release.

However, about a week later, during the wake of recent uprising in the state, the lifeless body of the monarch was found near a bush at Kateri area along Kaduna-Abuja high way.

The Seniour Special Assistant to the governor on media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan made the disclosure in a statement issued on October 26.
