Breaking : Buhari Remains In London, Extends Medical Vacation Indefinitely

President Muhammadu Buhari will not be arriving Nigeria today (Sunday) as widely reported. Instead,  the President had sent a letter to the National Assembly to informing the Legislative arm of his desire to extend his leave.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity however,  failed to state when the President is expected back in Nigeria.
The president had earlier written to the Senate that he will be away from Monday 23rd January to Monday 6th February on vacation during which he will attend to his health.
In recent days there have been much speculations about the true status of the president’s health but officials of the government has allays Nigerian’s fears saying the President was hale and hearty.
The terse statement by Adesina today reads:
President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the National Assembly today, February 5, 2017, informing of his desire to extend his leave in order to complete and receive the results of a series of tests recommended by his doctors.
The President had planned to return to Abuja this evening, but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning. The notice has since been dispatched to the Senate President, and Speaker, House of Representatives.
Mr. President expresses his sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their concern, prayers and kind wishes.
