Police arrest an officer who shot okada man for refusing to offer him #50 bribe

A police officer who shot dead an okada man for refusing to offer him a #50 bribe has been arrested, The officer who shot dead the okada man for refusing to offer him #50 bribe after committing the atrocity  took to his  heels with his colleagues  and neglect the police van at the scene of the incident.

The said Inspector has since been arrested and his service riffle recovered.

The Orderly-Room trial (Departmental Court) of this arrested Inspector held on Tuesday 6th September and this is to pave way for his criminal prosecution for Murder in the law court within the next 48hrs.

The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command has since opened a direct line of communication with the families of the victim and the community. The Ondo State Police Command is also providing necessary palliative to concerned relatives and persons at this period.
