AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards 2017, Entries Open

AMVCAThe 2017 Multichoice and Africa Magic have called fro entries for 2017 edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) to honour TV anf film makers.

With the success of the last four years awards this year’s edition promises to be bigger and better to honour the contribution of African filmmakers, actors and script writers in film and television industry.

This year’s edition of AMVCA which has 27 categories will hold on March 3 and 4, 2017.

A statement by Mr. Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, Regional Director for M-Net (West), said: “We are pleased to announce the call to entry for the 2017 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
“The African movie and television industry is brimming with exciting talent, and at Africa Magic we contribute to the industry by not only giving these talents the platform to showcase their skills and passion, but by celebrating their achievements whilst also encouraging them to continue honing their craft.”

This year’s edition will also feature a number of awards in different categories ranging from script writing, directing, costumes and cinematography. Others are, editing, make-up, sound and lighting.
At the 2016 edition, multi-award winning actress Stephanie Linue , took home the award for Best Overall Movie for DRY while Funke Akindele went home as the winner in Best Actress In A Comedy – “Jenifa’s Diary.”

The veterans ,Sadiq Daba and the late Bukky Ajayi won the 2016 Industry Merit Award.
