NFF Reads Riot Act To Oliseh, Sacks Babaginda As Coaches Personal Assistant

sunday-oliseh1The Nigerian Football Federation(NFF), Wednesday issued a note of warning to Super Eagles coach over his controversial YouTube  video in which he called his critics insane for daring to criticise him over his performances with the national team.

After an extra-ordinary meeting of the executive committee of the NFF held in Abuja, the executive committee , reviewed the performance of the Super Eagles at the CHAN in Rwanda, and rebuked the Head coach Sunday Oliseh for making” unwarranted statements unbecoming of a National Team Coach in both regular and social media”

The Committee accepted his apologies but warned that similar infractions will not be tolerated in the future. The NFF also directed the coach to henceforth report to the NFF general secretary and the Technical and development committee and should be ready to defend his programmes which includes list of invited players and training schedule before the committee.

The committee also sacked  Tijjani Babangida as Personal Assistant to Super Eagles’ Coach, Sunday Oliseh, and the general  Secretary was  mandated to follow the due process in effecting his disengagement.

Meanwhile the committee also endorsed the recommendation of the Technical and Development Committee for the reconstitution of the technical crew of the U-20 National Team, Flying Eagles.Coach of the title winning  U-17 Head Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, now heads the U-20 crew with Kabiru Baleria and Emeka Amadi as Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Trainer respectively.
