Lagos Crash: NCAA Bans Bristow’s Sirkosky Helicopter

bristow crashThe Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended Bristow’s operation of the Sikorsky helicopter type.

According to the Director General of the NCAA,Muhtar Usman,  the suspension was to enable the agency carry out a full-scale audit on Bristow’s operations, with particular emphasis on its Sikorsky S-76C type.

The suspension comes a day after a Bristow helicopter with 11 persons on board crashed into the ocean. Luckily no one died in the incident, which occurred five months after a similar accident claimed six of the 12 people on board.
