Manchester City and Nigerian Striker, Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first hat-trick in professional football as Manuel Pellegrini’s men cruised into the FA Cup fifth round and kept their hopes alive of an unprecedented Quadruple.
With Star striker Sergio Aguero given the day off , Iheanacho took centre-stage with a commanding performance with his sixth, seventh and eighth goals of the season in a one sided game against the Villa,Premier League’s bottom team.
Iheanacho scored the first four minutes into the game after stabbing home from close range, he scored the second with a calmy taken penalty while he grabbed his hat trick after rounding the Villa goal keeper in the second half.
Raheem Sterling added the fourth to keep city’s chances of winning four titles alive. Iheanacho has shown stellar performances when given the opportunity in the first team an the young Nigerian has lived up to expectations ahead of Ivorian Striker Wilfred Bony who has fallen behind the Nigerian in city’s pecking order.
