English Premiership Champions Chelsea, Sunday defeated title favourites Arsenal by one goal to nil in the top of the bill clash at the Emirates stadium In London.
The gunners were on the early back foot after German Defender Per Metasacker was red carded after impeding Chelsea’s Spanish forward Diego Costa who was through on goal in the 18th minute of the match.
The numerical advantage of Chelsea paid off in the 23rd minute when Costa stroked home after a wonderful cross from Branislav Ivanovic. The goal spurred on Arsenal but they were however unable to break the resolute Chelsea side who are yet to lose a match since the departure of former talismanic manager Jose Mourinho.
The win moves Chelsea up to 13th position, their highest position since October last year while Arsenal drop to 3rd on the log with 44 points.
