The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says it has a valid court order to detain the National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh.
The commission said they have filed a 7 count charge against the PDP spokesperson.
Metuh who has been in the custody of the commission for the past one week is being charged for corruption, criminal breach of trust and money laundering.
According to the charges, Mr. Metuh transferred the sum of $1 million dollars through his agent, Nneka Nicole Ararume to one Sie Iyenome of Capital Field Investment committing an offence contrary to Section One of the Money Laundering Act.
He is so accused of receiving the sum of N400 million from the former National Security Advise, Col. Sambo Dasuki without a contract contrary to the Money Laundering Act.
He was further accused of diverting the said sum to finance the political campaign of his party.
The EFCC has not indicated when Metuh will be arraigned in court.
