INEC Declares Kogi Election Inconclusive

AuduThe Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Saturday governorship election in Kogi State inconclusive.

The returning Officer, Prof, Emmaule Kucha announced the development at the INEC headquarters in the state, saying the margin between the two leading candidates is less than the number of the cancelled votes.

The total number of cancelled votes is 49, 953 and the margin between Abubakar Audu of APC and  Idris Wada of PDP,  the incumbent governor is 41, 313.

Audu Abubakar of APC scored 240, 867 votes while Idris Wada of PDP Polled  199, 514

Prof. Kucha orders supplementary election to be conducted on a later date
