Assets Declaration: Peterside Lauds Buhari, Osinbajo

Dr. Dakuku Peterside, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State in the April election has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo for declaring their assets publicly in line with constitutional provisions for public officeholders.
Peterside also praised the duo for setting worthy examples that are not only unprecedented, but also definitive of their agenda in public office.

Mr Sylvester Asoya, Special Assistant (Media) to Peterside in a statement said, the former federal lawmaker said in Abuja that the President and the Vice President’s actions are consistent with the philosophy of their party, APC.
In Peterside’s words, “These are indeed interesting times in Nigeria. In just one hundred days in office, we are already seeing signs and manifestations of better days ahead.

“This asset declaration certainly, has rekindled hope, even in the minds of some of our countrymen and women who had lost hope in government and its officials. It is therefore gratifying to note that Nigerians across zones, class, age and even political affiliations have commended this move. This asset declaration, no doubt, has set the tone in very unmistakable terms, about what to expect in the coming years.

“I am very confident that the APC government will not disappoint Nigerians who voted massively for the on-going change that is sweeping across the nation. Those who voted against impunity, corruption and incompetence are already seeing in very concrete terms, the dividends of their votes at the last general elections

“I therefore wish to use this medium to call on Nigerians to continue to lend their support to this government as it continues to demonstrate accountability and vision in its match towards a new Nigeria.”
