The governor’s spokesperson Samuel Aruwan, in a statement in Kaduna on Saturday, said El-Rufai also condoled with the Chief of Air Staff and the officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force over the incident.
The statement quoted the governor as saying that he received the news of the plane crash with “shock and sadness”.
“We offer our deep condolences to the families who have been bereaved by this accident.
“May Almighty God, in His infinite mercies, grant their souls eternal rest and uphold their families in this moment of grief and sorrow,” the statement added.
NAN reports that Nigerian Air Force Dornier-228 aircraft crashed into Ribadu Cantonment (Old NDA) at about 6.45 a.m., killing all the seven people on board.
