Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday evening visited President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where they held a meeting behind closed-doors.
The discussions held in the meeting by the two leaders were not disclosed.
The secrete meeting was held for a few minutes inside the official residence of the President.
Obasanjo, decked in blue agbada and a cap to match, arrived in Aso Villa after the day’s work when the President had returned from his office.
Journalists could not access the President’s residence to ascertain the discussions held by both leaders as the residence is usually not open to journalists except on special occasions.
There were speculations that Obasanjo must have decided to act on his knowledge of the Presidential Villa to visit the President at that time, away from the curious eyes of reporters.
That was the first time the former President would be visiting Buhari inside the Presidential Villa since his inauguration on May 29.
Mr. Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Saturday confirmed Obasanjo’s visit.
